Roland Gehrke

Vice President, Corporate Services

Roland Gehrke joined ARMA this year as Vice President, Corporate Services, bringing over three decades of experience leading high-impact teams and transformative initiatives across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He has a strong foundation in finance and a proven track record in corporate services leadership. Roland brings a deep expertise in financial strategy, performance management, procurement, IT, HR, legal, risk management, and internal audit.

As former Vice President of Finance and CFO at BC Transit, Roland led a team of professionals, driving a multi-year transformation strategy that significantly improved service delivery, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. His career also includes impactful roles as Director of Finance for City Operations at the City of Edmonton, Controller/Subsidiary CFO at ATCO Electric, and Vice President of Corporate Services and CFO at Legal Aid Alberta.

Roland has also completed the ICD.D program and is a lifelong learner with executive education from institutions such as MIT, UBC Sauder, and the Ivey School of business. He is known for his ability to build high-performing teams, inspire change, and deliver measurable results.

Roland is an active community contributor, having coached youth hockey and soccer for many years at both recreational and elite levels. In his free time, Roland enjoys being outdoors, trail running, hiking, and biking. He’s an avid hockey and golf enthusiast, a passionate traveler, fluent in both English and German, and most of all, values quality time spent with family and friends.
