Edward Gugenheimer - CEO
Early in 2019 Ed Gugenheimer joined ARMA as their new Chief Executive Officer, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in fiscal governance and management.
His innate talent for strategic execution, financial, operational and risk management alongside his passion for building healthy organizational cultures is leading ARMA to its continued success in pivoting to the next stage of their future – one that requires foresight into emerging trends and innovations while balancing the need to guide and nurture its stakeholders and partners to ensure the province is leveraging all opportunities for a sustainable and impactful recycling sector in Alberta.
Ed’s first 18 months brought a new lens, fresh perspective and inspiration to the Board of Directors, senior management team and staff, strategically shifting the organization to its new vision of Inspiring a Future without Waste. This continues to include leading ARMA in implementing changes when environmental fees were deregulated as part of the Government of Alberta’s red tape reduction initiative in 2019.
Ed holds a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation and calls Edmonton home with his wife Leanne and son Addison who all enjoy spending time at the lake, volunteering, and community building.
